SUMMARY:Teaching and Learning in Higher Education
DESCRIPTION: The workshop aims at providing an introduction to teaching and
  learning in higher education for beginners in teaching at higher education
  institutions as well as more experienced instructors who want to refresh t
 heir knowledge and engage in exchange with colleagues. The topics will incl
 ude:  \n\n 	 basics of higher education pedagogy (constructivist and cognit
 ivist basics, student-centred teaching/shift from teaching to learning, con
 structive alignment, active learning) 	 What are great learning experiences
  made of? 	 your teaching experiences & challenges: focus on your specific 
 questions and transfer to your teaching \n\n This workshop will be very int
 eractive, we will use different methods and tools and discuss teaching appr
 oaches in the online, blended and traditional classroom. Your questions and
  interests will be at the centre – therefore you’ll be asked to answer a fe
 w questions about your learning goals in the run-up to the workshop.\n\nRef
