 , which, as a civil society watchdog, monitors and supports the process of 
 implementing the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).\n\
 nYou’ll learn what the pursuit and implementation of the SDGs actually look
  like in Hamburg, what tasks and challenges are involved in the work of a f
 oundation—including coordinating a diverse network of NGOs—and what skills 
 are needed to stay on course even in the face of controversies and conflict
 ing goals.\n\nDaniel Eckert studied political science at the University of 
 Leipzig and earned a master’s degree in sustainability studies from Leuphan
 a University; he has previously held various roles dealing with German, Eur
 opean, and international climate and sustainability policy. A particular fo
 cus of his work has been on climate justice and socio-ecological transforma
