FOR YOUR CAREER: Fair visited - dream job found
2023-06-16 Leuphana University Lüneburg and LVV - Leuphana Veranstaltungs- und Vermarktungsgesellschaft mbH organised the job and career fair FOR YOUR CAREER for its students and alumni on 7 June 2023. Visitors could expect an innovative trade fair environment in the central building, highly motivated exhibitors and many services. Some even found their dream job.
The more than 70 exhibitors drew a satisfied résumé. In order to recruit the best minds on campus, they held many intensive one-on-one meetings with the freshly qualified graduates, who were able to make appointments in advance via app or spontaneously decided to visit the fair. The central building was divided up according to sectors: On this day, the forum belonged to the law and auditing firms, industry, banks and insurance companies presented themselves in the foyer and in the auditorium, in addition to exhibitors from trade, commerce and logistics, new career paths into self-employment were also shown by the STEP and Startup Port projects.
Moderated by the student initiative Contact & Cooperation, six of the exhibitors took on a special challenge, the "Battle for Talents". As potential employers, they answered questions such as: What would the perfect team event look like in your company? With four ingredients, what does a recipe for a successful lunch break look like? Is your company an early riser or a late riser? Eagle lsp GmbH convinced the audience with spontaneity, sustainable corporate goals as well as a balanced concept of work-life balance and thus won the competition.
Luisa Fischmann and Charlotte Pfeiffer jointly took over the moderation of this year's battle. Luisa Fischmann, who is a manager at Contact & Cooperation, is happy about the great atmosphere on this day in the Central Building. "This is really something quite different from the years before in the auditorium corridor. There's a lot more space for exhibitors, visitors and a great café in a place where teaching usually takes place." This refers to the auditorium, which normally seats up to 1001 audience members at large lectures, and for the fair the entire seating was pushed aside. Klippo, the caterer in the central building, provided the exhibitors with culinary delights in a café specially set up for the occasion.
The students took advantage of many services on site, such as special coaching offers, the application documents and social media check or the creation of professional application photos. A huge job wall was heavily frequented on this day and illustrated the variety of job offers.
The fair closed at 4 p.m. with happy faces also on the part of the organisers, who would like to see even more regional exhibitors from the city next year in order to strengthen Lüneburg as a location with well-trained skilled workers.
