Hans-Rüdiger Pfister is Professor of Psychological Decision Research and Methods, and head of the Center for Methods at Leuphana University. He received his PhD and habilitation in psychology from the Technical University of Berlin.

His research interests include behavioral decision making, the impact of emotions in decision making, risk perception and emotional and moral factors in risk judgments, human-computer interaction, especially the role of New Media in E-Learning and collaborative learning, and methodological and statistical issues in psychological research.

Since 2006, he is an associated member of the DICE research group at the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Bergen, Norway.

Since 2010, he is head of the Center for Methods at the Leuphana University Lüneburg.
