2024-02-22

On February 22 and 23, 2024, the "Workshop on Microeconomics" will take place at Leuphana University Lüneburg. The workshop will focus in particular on topics of behavioral, labor market and personnel economics, but also other topics of applied microeconomics. It will be organized by Prof. Dr. Luise Görges, Prof. Dr. Boris Hirsch and Prof. Dr. Mario Mechtel.

The program includes presentations by academics from Germany and abroad. The 18 talks will cover a wide range of topics, from minimum wage issues to fake reviews in digital markets to sustainable consumption decisions. The program and further information can be found here.

The workshop was founded in 2009 by Mario Mechtel at Eberhard Karls University Tübingen and has been held regularly in spring ever since. This year's conference is the 16th edition of the workshop, which has evolved from a small forum for young researchers to an established event. In 2024, the workshop will be organized for the ninth time at Leuphana University Lüneburg.

There will be a smaller conference on the day before the workshop specifically for PhD students of the doctoral program "Behavioral Economics and Societal Transformation", where they can present and discuss their current research ideas and projects. The doctoral program was founded by behavioral economists from Clausthal University of Technology, Leuphana University Lüneburg, Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg and the University of Vechta.
