Studying outside of Europe

Leuphana also cooperates with many non-European universities as well as in Switzerland and the UK within the framework of bilateral cooperation agreements (not Erasmus).

Participants in these exchange programs can study at the partner universities for one or two semesters without paying tuition fees. A Learning Agreement must be signed before the start of studies at the host university to ensure that the coursework completed there can be credited to studies at Leuphana.

Exchange places at non-Erasmus partner universities are also announced by the International Center annually in the winter semester for the following academic year.

United Kingdom

Studying abroad at most of Leuphana's British partner universities is not eligible for Erasmus+ funding; Erasmus agreements currently only exist with the University of Glasgow and the University of Edinburgh. In contrast to the standard exchange programs, you pay (reduced) tuition fees to participate in the double-degree programs with the University of Glasgow and Cranfield University.

Switzerland

Students participating in exchange programs in Switzerland receive a study grant from the Swiss European Mobility Program (SEMP), subject to sufficient funds.

Study Abroad at Partner Universities

At some (few) partner universities, Leuphana students pay reduced tuition fees. For more information, please refer to the current call for applications and the fact sheets in the partner university database.
