When I look back on my time at Leuphana today, I...

...I enjoyed the time very much. I had worked in the private sector between my bachelor's and master's degrees. The master's program at Leuphana inspired me. I was able to organize my daily study routine in a self-determined way, but I also always received the necessary support from the faculty. In particular, the overarching lectures by Richard David Precht, among others, broadened my horizons outside of classical business administration.

How did your studies prepare you for your current job?

At a university, you are already somewhat on your own, i.e., there are numerous offers that you must evaluate for yourself and from which you can choose. On the one hand, this means endless possibilities, but it also helps to distinguish the important from the unimportant and to set the right priorities. These are both things that help me enormously in my current role as a manager to structure my stressful everyday life.

What are the advantages of studying at Leuphana?

Leuphana is a campus university, so, all of life happens in one place. That also makes it incredibly diverse. In addition to teaching and research, I also associated leisure, fun, and variety with the university.

To whom would you recommend studying at Leuphana?

Pretty much everyone*.

What experience can I bring to the table as an alumni angel?

I have pursued a career in two industries (finance and construction) that tend to be dominated by men. The path was not always easy. I had to fight my way through, and it was always important for me not to adapt too much to the male world, but to maintain my own style. My experience from the last few years is what I would like to pass on.
