Vita

Dr. Maren Wesselow studied Social Management (B.A.) as well as Sustainability Geography and Regional Development (M.Sc.). After gaining initial professional experience in a fair-trade startup, she worked as a research associate at the University of Greifswald in a project on land use in Madagascar. She then continued her academic career at the University of Oldenburg, conducting research on urban agriculture in Tanzania and South Africa as well as on sustainable mobility in Dar es Salaam. In addition, she was involved in the development of a smart, energy-efficient residential district in Oldenburg. Following a position at the Geesthacht Innovation and Technology Center, she has been engaged since July 2025 in a project on citizen energy innovations at Leuphana University Lüneburg.
