"WORKING LEUPHANA shows what good work can look like in the future and exemplifies an inspiring work culture," says Daniel Simons, Chairman of the Staff Council.

"Good working conditions and the working culture of the future" was the theme of the "WORKING LEUPHANA" project. From September 2022 to the end of June 2023, employees from different departments worked together creatively and with commitment. Among other things, the podcast "Treffpunkt Kaffeegondel" was launched to stimulate discussions about working at Leuphana, a tandem project was implemented to network the faculty, and new ways of communication were found.

The result: "The campaign was a unique culture-changing action," says the nomination. It had reached the desired public, had become a topic of conversation and the staff council had set an impulse for an improved working culture with the project. "WORKING LEUPHANA shows what good work can look like in the future and exemplifies an inspiring work culture," says Daniel Simons, Chairman of the Staff Council. The Leuphana University Staff Council is one of a total of ten bodies nominated for the award.

The German Staff Council Award is an initiative of the magazine "Der Personalrat" from the Bund-Verlag, Frankfurt, and has been awarded since 2010. The winners will be announced at the Schöneberger Forum on 15 November 2023 in Berlin.
