Language Placement Tests
To participate in a language course or just to learn your language level you can assess your language proficiency. All information can be found on the following page.
All of our placement tests can be completed in the SLZ on your own laptop. Please note that if you want to take the English placement test, you will also need headphones. However, if you do not have one or the other with you, there are computers and headphones in the SLZ too.

- is suitable for all language levels (adaptive test)
- can be taken once a semester, is valid for two years, and is free of charge for Leuphana students
- can be used, for example
- for course registration at Leuphana if needed
- for individual purposes
- for the application for a stay abroad (further information can be found on the page Language proficiency for studies abroad)
- This placement test cannot replace official certificates such as TOEFL or TOEIC, which are required in several programs.
- takes place in SLZ (5.104)
Attention: please bring your own headphones (AUX) for the English placement test. Bluetooth connection is not available.
How to register?
No registration needed. Just come to us during our opening ours.

Individual placement through written test and interview
