Zotero: Don't get lost in the details - collect, sort and cite texts efficiently (Zoom)

29. May

Getting started with Zotero on May 29th, 2024 from 2:15 - 3:45pm (Zoom)

Collecting and organizing references, creating literature lists or inserting references and bibliographies into a paper are all part of academic writing. Reference management programs are helpful tools that can make these tasks much easier. Zotero is a free and open-source reference management software that runs on Windows, Mac and Linux computers.

In this beginners' workshop, an experienced colleague will demonstrate how to save search results from catalogs and databases directly into Zotero, how to attach and annotate PDFs, and how to transfer the collected references into your paper. In addition, there will be many useful tips and tricks for working with reference management programs.

For the demonstration, the following systems/programs will be used:

  • Windows 10 or higher
  • Zotero 6 for Windows
  • Firefox or Chrome
  • MS Word 2019 for Windows

Everyone who is interested is welcome to attend. Please register for the workshop.

  • Registration for students from College and Graduate School: Either follow this link to the event or find it at myStudy under „zusätzliche Angebote (ohne CPs) > Medien- und Informationszentrum > Literaturverwaltung und wissenschaftliches Arbeiten“.
