Completion Grant ("Chancenstipendium")

One-time study completion grants for students with children and students with a disability or chronic illness

Studying can be much harder for students with children and students with a disability or chronic illness, especially without sufficient financial support towards the end of their studies. Disadvantages may intensify in the corona pandemic: childcare facilities are closed, opportunities for income are lost, visits to doctors and hospitals are more difficult and social networks break down due to contact restrictions. The crisis situation therefore threatens to have a particularly severe impact on the aforementioned students.

Thanks to the financial support of the E. W. Kuhlmann Foundation, Leuphana University will award a number of one-time completion grants of 500€ for students with children and students with a disability or chronic illnessin the final phase of their studies. The funding is intendedto alleviate social and economic hardships and thus enable the respective students to finish their studies.
