Online Registration

for a library ID card / a Leuphana Card (which includes a library and print function) from the Library at Leuphana University of Lüneburg

To obtain the ID card, please fill in the registration form.

Afterwards, you can collect the card personally during the opening hours of the library's service desk.
When collecting the card, please have the following documents ready for presentation:

• A valid identity card or passport with a confirmation of registration from the Registration authority (Bürgeramt).
• University employees please produce a certificate of employment / employment contract
• If you are between 16 and 18, please also bring a declaration of consent by a parent or legal guardian (template in German)

The issuing of a library card / the Leuphana Card costs a one-time fee of €5.00.  Employees of Leuphana University are exempt from the fee. For the Leuphana Card, an additional deposit of €10.00 is required.

In addition to the students and staff of Leuphana University, the University Library can also be used by scientifically interested citizens of Lüneburg and the surrounding area, provided that they have reached the age of 16.

By registering, the user acknowledges the User Regulations of Lüneburg University’s Library.
