Open Day: B.A. Studium Individuale

May 29, 2026 – on campus

The Studium Individuale Open Days at Leuphana offer the opportunity to find out more about this special Bachelor programme. They introduce you to the particular features and structure of the major and its overall spirit. They also provide ample opportunity to exchange with students, faculty and staff, and allow you to get a better idea of life on campus and the university at large.

The Studium Individuale Bachelor programme is an answer to the various changes and resulting challenges of our time, encompassing a wide range of issues of politics, economics, culture. Embedded in the tradition of a liberal education, Studium Individuale addresses students who want to study both broadly and in depth, who want to work on complex and challenging issues on their own as well as in teams, and who are not easily satisfied with simple answers.

The programmeenables students to design a personal curriculum around a question or theme of interest by combining courses from different disciplines. It promotes essential academic skills such as analytical and reflexive thinking, clear and persuasive communication and well-rounded judgement. Its core modules center around the question of modern freedom. As a contemporary liberal education, it prepares students to be creative, purposeful and responsible agents in many walks of life.
