Digital Entrepreneurship (Seminar)

Dozent/in: Jan Tänzler

14-täglich | Donnerstag | 08:15 - 11:45 | 04.04.2022 - 08.07.2022 | C 40.152

Inhalt: Digital enterpreneurship concerns the digital technology-driven discovery, creation, and exploitation of opportunities bringing about new products, services, and business models (Nambisan, 2016; Shane, 2012; Venkataraman, 1997). In this view, digital technologies may be at the heart of a new product (e.g. a new app) or be critical to the pursuit of an opportunity (e.g. small family-firm using a webbased platform such as Amazon or Etsy as a key distribution channel for a [nondigital] product). In this course, students get an insight into the topic of digital entrepreneurship. In small teams, the students develop solutions to real problems in the field of digitization of small and medium-sized companies in the region of Lüneburg.

Managing Start-ups (Seminar)

Dozent/in: Jan Tänzler

wöchentlich | Donnerstag | 16:15 - 17:45 | 04.04.2022 - 08.07.2022 | C 40.108

Inhalt: Startups are characterized by the fact that at the beginning an innovation is decisive for the establishment of a company, which has a high potential. In addition, the founders initially have to carry out all of the company's tasks on their own, as the company's (financial) resources are limited. However, if the company grows over time, the founders often reach their limits. From now on, the company has to professionalize its structures: The company's financing, organization and staff management have to be adapted to the company's growth.
