Inhalt: This transdisciplinary learning research project focuses on the intersection of learning, politics and aspirations for regenerative futures. The setting of this research project is an international capacity building project called Politics4Future led by Leuphana University with five other international universities aimed at building capacities of youth enrolled in higher education on Sustainable Development Goal 4.7. The six universities involved in the project are: 1. Leuphana University (Germany), 2. Heidelberg University of Education (Germany), 3. University of Crete (Greece), 4. Rhodes University (South Africa), 5. York University (Canada) 6. Earth Charter Center at University for Peace (Costa Rica) The six universities are operating within unique cultural, political and social settings. While Leuphana is leading the discourse with its focus on sustainability, the other partners for example Rhodes University are focusing on decolonial learning whereas York University is integrating diverse indigenous voices in its education. The students will get an opportunity to work with the project partners in addressing following questions through transdisciplinary research: 1)What role does politics play in fostering these critical forms of social learning? 2)How does regenerative future look like ? 3) What role does politics have in bringing transformative change through learning? 4) How does diversity of voices contribute to regenerative futures and what is the politics behind whose voices and knowledge is discussed? 5)What other critical forms of social learning are existing in the context of the partners to foster regenerative futures. These questions will be researched by students in this transdisciplinary research to spark new knowledge on regenerative futures through a Global South-North lens.
