Inhalt: Starting with the historical development of the European movement (Treaties of Rome, Treaty of Maastricht, Treaty of Lisbon), the course focuses on the competences of the European Institutions, the legal sources of the EU, the relationship between European and national law, the four fundamental freedoms, the rules within European competition law and European constitutional questions. Within the course the jurisdiction of the European Court of Justice (ECJ) will be stressed out as European case law. Students will be trained in solving concrete cases, in conducting academic research and in organising a successful self study. It is planed to include specialists from praxis and from abroad to widen the perspective on the topic.
