Art=(educational)capital - Kunst=(Bildungs)kapital (Seminar)

Inhalt: During the 1970s, Joseph Beuys developed a revolutionary concept of capital: instead of money, the potential of human beings to imagine and create their own life-conditions should be the center of a new conception of economy. Hence his famous statement KUNST = KAPITAL. In his view, art should not be considered an elitist practice for aesthetic enjoyment. Rather, it should be used as a democratic tool, available to every person committed to the active pursuit of freedom. On this seminar, Beuys will represent the entry point for a broad reflection on art-as-capital and art-as-educational-capital. We will approach Beuys oeuvre as a paradigmatic example of the artist as educator, and explore his methods, based on learning-creating through a practical experience and transformation of materials and environments. With an emphasis on experience, we shall make an approximation to the work of artists such as Mike Kelley or Bjørn Melhus in an attempt to develop a general enquiry of the rol of art within the field of education.

Inhalt: Pädagogisch-didaktische Handlungskompetenzen stellen keine unveränderbaren Fähigkeiten dar, sondern unterliegen einer Historizität und Kulturalität. Es wird immer deutlicher, dass im 21. Jahrhundert nicht mehr Reproduktion von Gleichem und die Optimierung der linearen Vermittlung von Wissen relevant sind, sondern die Produktion von Neuem und kreatives Handeln gefordert werden, damit geht auch die Notwendigkeit einer schulinstitutionellen Erzeugung von Kreativität einher. Eine Möglichkeit schöpferische Praktiken zu fördern, kann die schulische Bildung künstlerischer Techniken sein. Als kulturelle Bildung ist der Erwerb von ästhetischen, inszenatorischen und transkulturellen Wissensformen Voraussetzung, um das Sosein der Dinge kreativ erfassen zu können und Kreativität in „didaktische“ Konzepte (außer-)schulischer Bildungsarbeit inkludieren zu können. In der Vorlesung werden wir uns mit den Problemen und Herausforderung einer Didaktisierung avantgardistischer Praktiken beschäftigen und Elemente künstlerischer Welterzeugung unter dem Titel 'Kulturelle Happenings' bezüglich professioneller Kompetenzen behandeln.
