Inhalt: This module provides mathematical foundations in the following areas: · probability theory and statistics - concept of probability (W-room, dependancy, random variables, conditional probability) - random variables - distributions - descriptive statistics - parameter estimation - statistical tests · linear algebra - vector spaces and subspaces - orthogonality - eigenvalues and –vectors · stochastic processes (markov chains) ·analysis - differentiation of real-valued functions with several variables (partial derivative, gradients) - integration of real-valued functions with several variables
