Inhalt: This course covers the basic structure of public international law. The course is intended to provide you with an in-depth understanding of the workings of international law. The course will start with a brief review of the history of international law and its current status, before moving on to basic concepts such as sources and actors, jurisdiction and immunities, the relationship between international and municipal law, territory, state responsibility, the law of treaties and the settlement of disputes. We will close the course with one of the most disputed areas of international law, the law on the use of force.
