Fachplanung I: Communication, transdiciplinarity and participative methods in spatial planning and landscape management (Seminar)

Inhalt: In this course we are going to look at objectives and example projects in spatial planning and landscape management, that are concerned with closing the gap between science and practice, and that include participatory approaches to different extends. We will learn basics of communication and knowledge and explore participatory methods of knowledge co-production. We will gain insights into challenges and opportunities of transdisciplinary work and discuss how it can be facilitated and designed. Analysing some research projects, we will examine, what methods were used, what outcomes were achieved and how the researchers reflected on the process.
