Inhalt: This seminar provides an overview of concepts of sustainable development from various parts of the world, which will be analysed under the question: What can we learn from each other to foster sustainability? The main idea behind the seminar series is that the students develop a global perspective on sustainable development through a close look at concepts relevant at local/regional level. To further elaborate- Unbox the concepts from the regional identity if it has and examine them from global perspective to see what can be learnt or unlearnt. Using participatory methodology, the seminar will be bring key concepts, philosophies,movements, international responses which may be critically discussed and assessed from different cultural angles such as Agenda 2030, Ubuntu, Doughnut Economics, Anthropocene Fridays for Future, Black Lives Matter, Scientists for Future, Extinction Rebellion, ESD for 2030, Fee must fall, Arab Spring, Veganism, Scientists for Future, Youth engagement on SDGs, Ocean Sciences, Human Well-Being, Happiness Index, Role of Polycentric Governance, Policy Instruments, Role of United Nations and others (these are only indicative topics and students can propose new ideas)
