Methoden-Training – ein Vertiefungskurs in der quantitativen Forschung (Seminar)

Inhalt: Die Veranstaltung schließt an den methodischen Vorbereitungskurs an und bietet eine vertiefte Auseinandersetzung mit spezifischen Fragestellungen in der Umsetzung quantitativer Forschungsprojekte sowie mit auf die jeweiligen Einzelprojekte abgestimmten statistischen Analyseverfahren. Der Kurs findet in 7 Blöcken über das Semester verteilt statt und dient der gezielten Vorbereitung auf die Durchführung der quantitativen Analysen im Rahmen des Promotionsprojekts.

Methoden-Training – ein Vorbereitungskurs in der quantitativen Forschung (Seminar)

Inhalt: Die Veranstaltung bietet eine grundlegende Auseinandersetzung mit den methodologischen und methodischen Grundlagen der quantitativen Forschung sowie eine SPSS-basierte Einführung in multivariate Analysetechniken (varianz- und regressionsanalytische Verfahren). Der Kurs findet in 7 Blöcken über das Semester verteilt statt und dient der promotionsspezifischen Vorbereitung auf die empirische Bearbeitung einer quantitativen Fragestellung.

Videography - Interpretative video analysis of social situations (Seminar)

Inhalt: The course offers an introduction to video analysis of social situations. It is aimed at doctoral students and researchers who wish to study "natural" situations and the interaction and communication that takes place in them using video data. The course will provide a brief overview of the different varieties of video data and the current state of the various qualitative approaches to video data analysis that have blossomed in recent years. It will then discuss the methodological principles of videography. On this basis, video interaction analysis as the core of videography will be presented using different empirical examples. The methodological research steps such as data collection, selection and processing of the data corpus as well as the fine analysis will be exemplified and practiced on sample projects. Videography will be taught as a theoretically sound and embedded, sophisticated method. In joint data sessions, research data of the participants or sample data provided can be analysed.
