Müller-Rommel elected IPSA Vice President

2025-07-24 Lüneburg/Seoul. Professor Ferdinand Müller-Rommel from the Institute of Political Science at Leuphana University of Lüneburg was recently elected to the IPSA Executive Committee at the World Congress of the International Political Science Association (IPSA) in the South Korean capital Seoul and subsequently appointed IPSA Vice President for the term 2025 to 2027.

During his two-year term, Müller-Rommel, a renowned and internationally experienced democracy researcher, will focus in particular on promoting more sustainable networking and stabilization of political science in the countries of the Global South by organizing regional conferences and supporting young academics.

With more than 4,500 members from over 150 countries, IPSA is the largest professional association of political scientists worldwide and organizes a biennial congress that regularly attracts more than 2,500 members.
