Introduction to data analysis with continuing education certificate at Leuphana University
2026-02-19 Lüneburg. Digitalization is generating ever-increasing amounts of data in ever-shorter periods of time. How this data can be analyzed and made usable is the focus of the part-time Data Analytics certificate program at Leuphana University Lüneburg. It offers participants an introduction to the field of data analysis. The certificate program starts in April 2026, and applications are open until February 28.
Within one semester, participants acquire relevant knowledge in the fields of statistics, programming with Python, and an introduction to applied data analysis. The focus is not only on acquiring theoretical knowledge, but also on the practical application of what has been learned in exercises. For example, students can work on their own data sets, using the training time to address professional issues and benefit from feedback from lecturers and fellow students. With the certificate, graduates have a toolbox of basic skills at their disposal, enabling them to statistically analyze and verify correlations within data sets and prepare them graphically for communication.
The certificate program follows a blended learning approach: regular online courses are combined with a few in-person sessions. The program is primarily aimed at those who want to expand their practical data skills in order to apply them in their company, for example. Those who wish to continue their education in the field of data science after completing their certificate can enroll in a part-time master's program in data science at the Leuphana Professional School.
