Narrative in der Transformationsforschung (Seminar)

Inhalt: Der Allgemeinplatz „es braucht ein neues Narrativ“ findet sich in fast jeder aktuellen gesellschaftlichen Debatte. Dabei greift die etwas banale Idee, dass es einfach „nur“ eine überzeugende Geschichte braucht, damit Menschen sich einer Bewegung anschließen, ein bestimmtes Produkt kaufen oder ihr Verhalten ändern, zu kurz. Eine gute Geschichte führt nicht automatisch zu Veränderung im Handeln von Akteuren. Trotzdem spielen Narrative eine wichtige Rolle für die Transformation in Richtung einer nachhaltigen Entwicklung. Nach einer Einführung in die Grundlagen der inter- und transdisziplinären Transformationsforschung werden wir unterschiedliche Ansätze zur Erforschung von Narrativen und ihrer Rolle in der Transformation kennenlernen. Wir beschäftigen uns dabei mit Klimawandel-Narrativen, Narrativen des Wandels von sozialen Bewegungen und unterschiedlichen Formen des Erzählens von Zukunft. Dabei werden verschiedene Theorien und methodische Zugänge sowie unterschiedliche Formen von Narrativen (in klassischen Medien, in der Wissenschaft, in Bildern und sozialen Medien) vorgestellt und gemeinsam erarbeitet.

Inhalt: In this seminar, we will focus on key aspects of the transdisciplinary research process in order to support students in carrying out their td research projects. There will be sessions dedicated to basics of transdisciplinary research, key concepts and methods or specific challenges related to participation, role conflicts and impact assessment. Other sessions will be reserved for consultation hours where students can discuss current issues in their projects or present preliminary project results and get feedback by the lecturer and their peers.
