Inhalt: Hochschulen sind in einer besondere Verantwortung, zu einer sozial-ökologischen Transformation der Gesellschaft beizutragen. Deswegen begeben auch sie sich auf den Weg einer Nachhaltigen Entwicklung (NE). Dies geschieht angesichts bereits länger bestehender Notwendigkeiten und aktuell in Zeiten von Polykrisen. In der Hochschulpolitik wird betont, es brauche eine „Kultur der Nachhaltigkeit“ an Hochschulen. Im Seminar fragen wir daher: Was bedeutet „Kultur der Nachhaltigkeit“ für unsere Hochschule? In welchen Bereichen spiegelt sie sich wie wider? Wie können Bemühungen um mehr Nachhaltigkeit an der HSX gestärkt werden, und wie können auch Studierende dazu beitragen? Die Lehrveranstaltung ist Teil des Forschungsprojektes KuNaH – Hochschulen in Gesellschaft – Realexperimente transformativer Lern- und Forschungsprozesse für eine Kultur der Nachhaltigkeit an Hochschulen (https://kunah.de/). Das Verbundprojekt wird von fünf Hochschulen durchgeführt: Leuphana Universität Lüneburg, Freie Universität Berlin, Universität Tübingen, Hochschule für Nachhaltige Entwicklung Eberswalde, KIT Karlsruhe. Damit ist in diesem Seminar die Besonderheit gegeben, sich eng mit den Studierenden an den anderen Hochschulstandorten des Verbundprojektes auszutauschen und zu vernetzen (online). Zudem wollen wir in diesem Seminar Interventionen bzw. kleinere Projekte entwickeln, planen und auch durchführen, die die Kultur(en) der Nachhaltigkeit an den jeweils eigenen Hochschulstandorten fördert. Die Erfahrungen mit den kleinen Projekten/Experimenten werden vor dem Hintergrund der Transformationsforschung und Organisationstheorie ausgewertet und reflektiert, um über Nachhaltigkeitstransformation in Organisationen zu lernen

Inhalt: Case studies in Sustainability Management provide learning tutorials that complement the material taught in the main lecture “Fundamentals of Sustainability Management”. Over the course of the semester, these tutorials will cover 5 case studies on key topics of sustainability management: including CSR, sustainability marketing, sustainable entrepreneurship, stakeholder management, business case for sustainability and sustainability strategies. Each student will contribute to all case studies. The case studies will be prepared and presented by the students through group work. Students will be allotted into one of six groups and meet every two weeks during their respective case study time slot.
