Community-based child protection (Seminar)

Inhalt: The module introduces a multi-disciplinary course outline offering a theoretical and methodological learning focusing on protection and welfare of children as guided by community-based systems and approaches. The course aims to enhance the knowledge base of learners in statutory and voluntary services meeting the needs of vulnerable children and families. It places particular emphasis on the multi-disciplinary nature of community-focused child protection and family support interventions. It will guide learners in becoming research-focused and enhance their ability to become more evidence based in their child protection practice. The course consists of the following modules: Child Protection Perspectives and Practices; Child Protection Legal Frameworks; Interventions with Children and Families; and Contemporary Issues.
