Inhalt: The main focus of the workshop is to explore the impact of different cultures on communication and to improve the participants’ oral, written, and intercultural communicative competencies. More specifically, we aim to raise students' awareness of cultural differences between people and how those differences affect communication processes in everyday life. The workshop will also provide opportunities for pragmatic language development in English through various tasks in order to help participants cope with real-life intercultural communicative situations. Requirements for the course include active participation in discussions about issues related to cultural differences, stereotypes and culture shock, as well as reflection on attitudes, experiences and strategies for learning about language and culture.
