Inhalt: After getting a first hands-on experience learning a programming language in "Technological Basics 1", this second part will have a stronger theoretical component: we will broaden our understanding of both soft- and hardware and explore fundamental computational principles. We will have a look at standard computer architectures and an even closer look at their tinier components, learn about different operating systems and eventually tinker with hardware and microcontrollers ourselves. Parts of our sessions will be devoted to seminal theoretical contributions to computer science, like those of Alan Turing, John von Neumann, George Boole and Claude Shannon.
