Open position - Student Assistant to support the TD Master course in the summer semester

As part of the SS2024 TD course "Sustainable urban transformation of a cross-border city - a social-ecological systems approach" supervised at the Social-Ecological Systems Institute, we are looking for a student assistant with 14,6 hours per month for a limited period of 6 months starting in April.
In this master course the students will work together with different local stakeholder groups and practice partners on sustainable urban transformation visions and strategies. The study area is located in Słubice and Frankfurt-Oder, at the Polish-German border.
We are looking for a student assistant to support us in the preparation, implementation and follow-up of the excursions and individual aspects of the course. The student assistant will act as a mentor for the students, sharing lessons learnt from their own participation in TD courses.
Your tasks:
Support/ mentoring activities during class
Excursion preparation (contacting local venues/partners/ …)
Logistical support during excursion and after excursion
Our requirements:
Successful participation in a TD course at Leuphana
Basic understanding of transdisciplinarity
Student of sustainability sciences
German and English language skills
Ability to join the excursions (tentative dates 23-25 June, 20-22 Aug)
Ability to join some (parts of) the regular sessions (Mondays 2.15 – 5.45)
Independent and continuous work, reliability and a thorough approach to work
