Inhalt: Future Skills for Entrepreneurs – Enabling Changemakers to Design a Better Future This seminar equips entrepreneurial minds with the essential Future Skills needed to thrive in an increasingly complex, digital, and interconnected world. Designed for aspiring changemakers, the course focuses on developing the human-centered competencies necessary to create meaningful impact, build resilient teams, and innovate for a better tomorrow. The seminar is organized around five central themes with an emphasis on four crucial Future Skills for entrepreneurs. 1. Traps Preventing Us from Designing a Better Future Students will delve into the complexities of today’s world and apply these insights to real-life business scenarios. They will learn to identify common cognitive traps that limit forward-thinking and develop strategies to overcome these obstacles, empowering them to design a better future. 2. Future & Entrepreneurial Mindset Understanding the role of mindset in shaping personal and organizational success, students will dive into the research on growth and entrepreneurial mindsets. Through practical exercises, they will develop their own growth-oriented mindset and learn how to foster this mindset in teams, enabling them to better manage challenges, form high-performing teams, and spur well-being within organizations. 3. Future Skills: Overview & Assessment Students will explore different Future Skills frameworks and assess their own competencies using the Future Skills Navigator, a holistic and research-backed model. Through self-reflection and group collaboration, students will identify areas for improvement and leverage their collective potential. 4. Deep Dive: Crucial Future Skills for Entrepreneurs The seminar focuses on four key Future Skills essential for entrepreneurs: a. Fog Mastery: Navigating uncertainty with curiosity and an exploratory mindset. b. Resilience: Cultivating the ability to overcome setbacks and grow through adversity, both personally and organizationally. c. Self-Efficacy: Growing the belief in one’s own ability to organize and execute the actions required to achieve specific goals. d. Innovation & Co-Creation: Fostering creativity and collaboration to develop new, value-added solutions. Students will engage in hands-on activities to better understand and apply these skills within entrepreneurial contexts. They will further develop strategies of how to share these skills with others, e.g., their peers and teams. 5. Future Skills in Entrepreneurial Action Through case studies and real-world examples, students will examine how successful entrepreneurs have utilized Future Skills to navigate challenges and grow their ventures (please refer to the Grading section). These insights will be linked back to the skills developed throughout the seminar, solidifying the practical relevance of Future Skills for entrepreneurial success.
