Inhalt: Anwendungsorientiertes Arbeiten mit geographischen Informationssystemen. In dieser Arbeitsgemeinschaft werden einige Anwendungen der GIS und Fernerkundung in der Raumanalyse, Hydrologie und Umweltforschung vorgestellt. Die Studenten lernen wie sie die Satellitenbilder in Erstellung der Digitale Geländemodelle (DGM) verwenden. Sie werden die DGM in einigen Umweltanwendungen benutzen. Die Studierenden arbeiten einzeln oder in kleinen Gruppen. Within this workshop, some GIS and remote sensing applications in spatial analysis and environmental research will be presented. The students will learn how to use satellite images in generating digital elevation model DEM. They will use the DEM in some environmental applications. Students will work individual or in small groups.

Inhalt: Einführung in das Arbeiten mit Geografischen Informationssystemen mit der freien Software QGIS. Dieses Seminar bietet eine anwendungsorienterten Einstieg in Geografische Informationssysteme. Als Software wird dabei das populäre freie GIS QGIS verwendet.

Inhalt: Sustainability challenges often require analysis and knowledge of spatial data like land-use or pattern of infrastructure. GIS tools offer both mapping and data analysis options and are widely used in science and application. In this course you will get to know ArcGIS, the programme we use at University and QGIS, a free software. You will learn the basics these programs have to offer and develop your own small project.
