Inhalt: The lecture provides an overview of the methods and paradigms of personality, intelligence, and other aspects of differential psychology. These include approaches to and models of personality (psychoanalytic approach, learning theory perspectives, humanistic personality theories, trait approaches), biological basis of personality, personality development, structure and process models of intelligence, emotional and practical intelligence, interpersonal relationships, intercultural aspects, and social construction of gender.
Differential Psychology - Group A (Seminar)

Inhalt: The seminar has two main foci: 1. Deepening of knowledge in the field of differential psychology with a particular focus on methods used for data collection and statistical analysis 2. Transfering this knowledge into scientific practice In the seminar, the students will prepare a recorded group presentation (e.g. via powerpoint) on an assigned paper on a topic of differential psychology. The presentations will each focus on the specific research method used in the study and should be presented in an understandable way to the fellow students. In two live Zoom sessions we will reflect critically on the research methods presented and discuss ways for application in differential psychology research.
