Inhalt: This seminar introduces students to key contributions to the understanding of ‘power’, ‘subjectivity’, ‘ideology’ and ‘hegemony’ within Cultural Studies. It engages with seminal works by figures within the field including Michel Foucault (on sexuality and power), Kimberlé Crenshaw and Jennifer Nash (on subjectivity and intersectionality), Louis Althusser (on reproduction and ideology) and Stuart Hall (on neoliberalism and hegemony).
