Inhalt: This course covers various fundamentals in academic reading and writing. Students will gain exposure to various styles of scholarly and scientific texts in the field of Cultural Studies and develop their ability to take apart and analyze complex arguments. Students will spend time developing their writing ability and style, and practice composing their thoughts and arguments in clear, concise, and interesting formats. The course will be structured around weekly reading and writing exercises, peer review between students and revision. Students will be evaluated on a portfolio of writing exercises submitted at the end of the course.
