New certificate course for successful construction projects: Lean Construction

In the face of cost pressure, lengthy approval procedures and growing complexity, Lean Construction offers methods and tools for the customer-oriented realisation of construction projects. The certificate programme at Leuphana University Lüneburg enables participants to acquire extensive knowledge about the "lean" process of construction projects and to apply it directly in professional practice. The cooperation partner is the Association of German Engineers (VDI), which also certifies successful participation with a certificate.
The certificate course is based on the contents of the guideline VDI 2553 "Lean Construction" and is aimed at specialists and managers in the construction and real estate industry. The course aims to develop customer-oriented planning and construction processes in order to reduce costs, increase quality and shorten construction times. Processes along the entire value chain, cooperative contract models and aspects of construction law are considered.
Prospective students can now apply for the one-semester further education programme "Lean Construction Expert according to VDI 2553".
