FOR YOUR CAREER: Job and career fair on campus
2024-06-10 Lüneburg. At this year's FOR YOUR CAREER job and career fair at Leuphana University Lüneburg, many employers are once again looking to recruit students for their companies. Interest is particularly strong this year among exhibitors who have registered as non-profit organizations: Hamburg Music Business e.V., the Steps for Children Foundation and the Green Working World Network will be presenting career opportunities in their organizations. But public employers such as the German Armed Forces and the Trade Supervisory Office are also looking for new skilled workers on the campus.
Around 70 exhibitors from various sectors will populate the entire first floor of Leuphana's central building on June 12 to provide information about interesting jobs, trainee programs, internships, part-time jobs or topics for final theses at their stands.
Many of the exhibitors come from Hamburg, Hanover and Berlin, but companies from the rest of Germany have also registered. Major global players such as pwc, Kellogs, Dr. Oetker and Hapag-Lloyd are represented, as are the Lüneburg companies CLAGE, Lünecom and Webnetz. The university would like to see even more regional companies exhibiting in the future and is already looking forward to receiving expressions of interest from Lüneburg companies for next year.
Students and alumni are expected to be the main visitors to the fair, but other guests who are interested in academic careers are also very welcome. Visiting the fair is free of charge and offers many highlights, such as the evaluation of application documents, a social media check in professional networks, personal coaching sessions and the creation of application photos.
