Inhalt: This course explores the dynamic interrelations between technology management, innovation management, and sustainability. It aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of how technology and innovation management can contribute to sustainable transformation—and where their limits lie. The lectures introduce foundational concepts and frameworks of technology and innovation management, each discussed with regards to current sustainability challenges and sustainable development goals. In addition, the seminars deepen these topics through structured debates: pairs of students present pro and contra positions on contemporary questions and defend them, it is then followed by the voting of the entire class. This develops analytical thinking, argumentation skills, and reflection. Students have the opportunity to present current research findings and practical cases during the lecture (10 minutes plus 5 minutes for questions/discussion) and earn bonus points for doing so (voluntary). Teaching and Learning Methods: • Interactive lectures combining conceptual foundations and practical examples (cases, videos, research papers, life-talks). • Seminar debates (Pro/Contra format) with structured moderation and peer feedback. • Group-work with peers to prepare for the debates. • Presentation of papers and cases linking theory presented in the lectures. • Active discussions and case-based learning.
