Inhalt: In this writing seminar, we will explore life writing across a variety of genres: dramatic monologue, personal essays, blogs, and excerpts from memoirs. In order to gain a deeper understanding of life writing, we will read and discuss selected pieces from the various genres, and afterwards, you will gain practice in creating your own piece of life writing in that specific genre. Your final assignment will involve “putting your heart on the page” and then fictionalizing this specific event from your life.
