Inhalt: In this seminar, we will work with a variety of engaging texts from flash fiction and poetry to scholarly texts and film. Students will become familiar with a variety of global reading strategies, while using all four skills in a motivating, cooperative atmosphere. In addition, students will practice identifying text structure, purpose, and organization, while learning to read more critically and efficiently. These are all skills that will prepare students for the challenges of reading a variety of university texts in English. Finally, we hope that students will become more confident and passionate readers over the course of the semester.
