LOST program for the winter term 25/26

01. Okt. - 15. März

A big thank you to this semester's LOST program coordinators – Leonie Eising and Ursula Weisenfeld, who planned the following events for us:

  • Wednesday, October 15, 16:00-18:00 (hybrid): In this session, we discussed a JMS R&R by our guest, Nora Lohmeyer (Radboud University) titled: Constructing Mandatory Human Rights Due Diligence: Unpacking how Private Regulation Experience is Shaping the Law. We also discussed an SO essay R&R by Stefanie Habersang and Elke Schüßler (among others): Strategies for Undesirable Futures? Reimagining Organization and Strategy Scholarship in a World in Collapse.

  • Tuesday, November 25, 16:00-18:00 (hybrid): In this session, we dscussed three contributions: 1) Pauline Reinecke: "Digital or face-to-face? Social situation and power in digital strategy workshops“, with Johanne Düsterbeck and Matthias Wenzel as discussants. 2) Stephanie Heitmann: "Pushing for/ pushing back on visibility arrangements of emerging digital technologies in innovation", with Matthias Werner and Stefanie Habersang as discussants. 3) David Hollis & Ellen Nathues: "Chained to Blockchain: How attachments escalate project work beyond points of no return“, with Lena Kostuj and Dennis Schoeneborn as discussants.

  • Wednesday, December 10, 14:00-16:00, Pre-Christmas Party LOST (in-person) – Here, we came together to look back at the year, revive old ideas and make “research wishes” for 2026.

  • Tuesday, January 13, 16:00-18:00 (hybrid): We discussed an R&R titled "Desirable Futures by Researching Organizations? A Normative Realist Approach for Prescriptive Research in Management Studies" by Lillan Lommel & Bennet Schwoon, with Eva-Maria Spreitzer and Markus Reihlen as discussants. We also talked about a work-in-progress paper titled "Developing multilevel resilience in an agroecosystem: A systems perspective" by Leonie Eising, Laura Fey, and Anna Stöber, with Maike Buhr and Steffen Farny as discussants.

  • Workshop: March 11-13, 2026 (in-person) “Organizing for Social Transformation”

In the winter term, we wanted to extend the classic R&R and paper sessions and use our LOST meetings to also exchange about the highlights and challenges of your current field work, to reflect on (work-in-progress) practice transfer projects and articles, or discuss research methods and the presentation of data and findings.
