Workshop series: Business Cases Through Sustainability
13. Mar - 09. May
How can sustainable visions be implemented economically? This question is the focus of the three-part workshop series, in which decision-makers work together with the Centre for Sustainability Management (CSM) to develop concrete solutions for value propositions, business models and business cases.
Three dates for economic sustainability
Under the direction of Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Stefan Schaltegger, the Centre for Sustainability Management (CSM) and the Innovation Community Sustainable Production, you will develop viable solutions for strategic sustainability issues in an exclusive circle of eight entrepreneurs - practical, economical and future-oriented. The following three events are dedicated to your economic sustainability:
Workshop 1 - March 13, 2026
From vision to value proposition - defining goals and application
The first workshop is about how companies can critically scrutinize their existing value proposition and develop a well-founded, sustainable value proposition from it. This ultimately forms the strategic basis for further steps.
Workshop 2 - April 17, 2026
Business models with impact - creating the basis for business cases
The second date is dedicated to the question of how business models can be transformed and designed in such a way that they support sustainability goals and remain economically viable.
Workshop 3 - May 9, 2026
Profit through purpose - realizing business cases
The third workshop focuses on implementation: How can a business case for sustainability be operationalized in concrete terms? And how can viable cost and revenue models be developed to make sustainable action economically successful?
What you can expect
The three-part workshop series offers managers a structured framework for translating sustainability goals into economically viable business models. You will work in an exclusive group on concrete solutions for your company - from sustainable value propositions and innovative business model approaches to the economic operationalization of a business case.
The composition of eight companies creates space for an open and goal-oriented exchange at eye level - with high practical relevance and direct reference to strategic corporate development.
Organizers
The workshop series will be offered by the Centre for Sustainability Management (CSM) in cooperation with the Leuphana Innovation Community Sustainable Production. The series will be accompanied and moderated by Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Stefan Schaltegger and Götz H. Römer.
