Arrival Information

[Translate to Englisch:] At the airport you take the suburban S1 to central station. The train stop is located near terminals 1 and 2 and can be easily and quickly accessed by elevators, escalators and stairs. The suburban departs every 10 minutes and the train ride will take 25 minutes to central station.

From the central station you can either take the ICE or the Metronom (ME in the direction of Uelzen or Hannover) to Lüneburg. The train ride takes about 30 minutes. It is also possible to take the Metronom Regional (MER), but the train ride will take a little bit longer.

Up to three buses that run along the 5001 route, stand ready at the same Lüneburg train station platform where trains from Hamburg arrive, ready to take you directly to the Scharnhorststraße campus in 13 minutes. In addition to the 5001 bus, you can also take the 5011 bus (towards Rettmer/Häcklingen) and the 5012 bus (towards Bockelsberg) to the main campus.

From the airport, drive in the direction of A7, Norderstedt. At the junction Hamburg-Schnelsen-Nord, take the highway A7 in the direction of Hannover, Bremen, Husum, Heide. After about 33 km, on the interchange Maschener Kreuz change from A7 onto higway A250 in the direction of Lüneburg.

After about 32 km, leave A250 and continue driving straight ahead on B4. Leave the B4 at the exit Lüneburg-Nord in the direction of Lübeck, Adendorf, Lüneburg-Lüne, Stadtmitte. After the ramp, turn right onto Bockelmannstraße in the direction of the city centre (Stadtmitte).

Continue straight ahead along Bockelmannstraße, Schießgrabenstraße, Willy-Brandt-Straße and Uelzener Straße for about 5 km. Turn right into Heinrich-Böll-Straße and follow the signs to the guest parking (Besucherparkplätze).
