Entrepreneurial Project (Seminar)

Inhalt: This is a bi-weekly seminar where students will engage in problem-based learning (PBL) within interdisciplinary groups to develop innovative solutions for a practice partner. Through PBL, students will address a specific entrepreneurial challenge presented by a partnering organization, which will be disclosed during the initial session. This collaboration offers the opportunity for partnerships with sustainable or cultural organizations, enabling students to tailor solutions to diverse contexts. The students will apply PBL principles to develop prototypes aimed at resolving the identified challenge and potentially expanding opportunities for the partnering organization. Throughout the course, students will immerse themselves in problem-based learning methodologies, cultivating entrepreneurial skills pertinent to various business contexts and real-world challenges.

Inhalt: The Professorship for Entrepreneurship and Organization Studies supervises Bachelor and Master theses in the areas of entrepreneurship, organization studies, innovation and strategic management that are designed as conceptual papers, qualitative studies, or literature reviews. You can either come with a fixed topic idea or you can specify a broad area of interest out of which a research question will be developed in the course of the supervision.

Qualitative Research Methods - Exploring (organizing in) societal transformation (Übung)

Inhalt: This course offers students a basic introduction to qualitative research methods. In this tutorial, students come together at Leuphana and discuss the online lecture's content in more detail. The students will conduct their qualitative research projects, and we will have time to answer questions and look at published studies as examples of how to conduct qualitative research. A primary goal of this tutorial is advancing students' research projects, which will make up 70% of the final grade. The research projects are group-based projects of about three students. The students will conduct their qualitative study and present interim results within this tutorial (30% of final grade).
