Inhalt: This seminar provides you an opportunity to experiment with and systematically inquire into changes of your personal consumption. Based upon a theoretical introduction into the concepts of consumption and sustainable consumption, you will choose a transformational project of your personal consumer behavior and pursue this project over the course of the seminar. Following the pedagogy of self-inquiry-based learning (Frank & Stanszus, 2019), you will be familiarized with introspective research methods (research diaries, dialogical introspection, micro-phenomenological interviewing) and introspective practices (meditation practices, movement-based self-observation, dyadic exercises), allowing you to systematically observe and analyze inner states and processes related to your consumptive acts. Moreover, you will experiment with a series of techniques aiming at influencing your inner states and processes and strengthening your personal resources for transforming your consumer behavior. In order to successfully complete the seminar, you will be asked to write (in groups of 3) a systematic analysis of your individual experiences with your transformational projects and provide a personal reflection of your seminar experience in forms of a video podcast.
