Von der Theorie zur Praxis: Methoden Transdisziplinärer Forschung und ihre Anwendung (Seminar)

Inhalt: Diese einmalige Forschungsprojekt-übergreifende Vorlesung (mit der Möglichkeit weiterer Beratung in einer Sprechstunde) schlägt die Brücke zwischen dem Modul "Inter- und Transdisziplinäre Grundlagen" und den anwendungs- und praxisorientierten Forschungsprojekten. Hier erhalten Sie konkrete praktische Tipps zur Durchführung von transdisziplinären Projekten, zum Projektdesign sowie über Stolpersteine, Gelingensbedingungen, Potenziale und Herausforderungen und können diese nach dem Projektstart in einer Sprechstunde bei Bedarf anwendungsorientiert vertiefen.

Climate Resilient Communities in the Caribbean (Projekt)

Inhalt: How to foster community impact? What makes a community resilient? Who needs to engage in climate adaptation action? This transdisciplinary community impact research project focuses on the intersection of climate resilience, communities and social innovations. The setting of the project is a Small Island State in the Caribbean in which communities face continuous challenges to adapt to changing climatic conditions and threats to their livelihoods. In their quest to become ‘climate resilient communities’, Islanders in the Caribbean are currently struggling to mitigate and adapt to changing climatic conditions and impactful catastrophes, such as hurricanes, earthquakes and the ongoing pandemic. Student teams are expected to both zoom out and generate sustainability-related knowledge, as well as to zoom-in via concrete entrepreneurial action interventions with local partners.

The future cities of Europe - beyond Lüneburg 2030+ (Projekt)

Inhalt: Embedded in the research project “ESD for 2030: Learning for and in Resilient and Sustainable Municipalities” this project will explore what the idea of a City of the Future means in three Baltic Cities and in Lüneburg and build the foundations for realizing real-world-experiments in those municipalities. Potentially two further cities from the ELEA Network will complement the picture. In doing so the project will contribute to: - Better understand differences and similarities of challenges and opportunities - Establish an overview of sustainability challenges and solutions - Enable mutual learning across cities - Embed Lüneburg 2030+ in a European Context
