Inhalt: About the course Fostering entrepreneurial thinking is at the core of Leuphana's educational DNA and deeply reflected in the School of Mangement and Technology’s study programs and its academic mission. At the master level, the Entrepreneurial Project is a key component of the entrepreneurial education in our management programs. In this module students acquire essential entrepreneurial skills, gain a comprehensive understanding of the venture creation process and cultivate a broad perspective on creating a new venture. In the project “Building B2C ventures”, students work in groups to develop a business plan for a B2C business idea which describes the strategy from seed funding to Series A financing. The project finally challenges participants to present this business plan to a panel of invited entrepreneurs, investors and industry experts. Participants are not expected to have an own business idea before joining the course. However, for students already running a B2C business or those having a first idea, this course is a great chance to further develop their business model and have it rigorously evaluated. On their journey towards the pitch presentation, the student groups will meet experienced entrepreneurs and will be equipped with the required knowledge and skills to build a thriving business plan. The course involves lecture sessions in entrepreneurial finance to provide the financial basics (key metrics, business planning, venture valuation, fundamentals of VC financing, etc.) and specific digital grotwh strategy workshops (on campus and offsite with office tours included) with industry partners (Google among others) to help them navigate the challenges of conceptualizing a B2C business strategy and to forge invaluable connections with industry experts. While preparing their pitch participants will have the opportunity to get feedback from the senior business professionals, entrepreneurs, and investors who support the different learning sessions of the project as guest lecturers.
