Prof. Dr. George Caffentzis

Constantine George Caffentzis is an Emeritus Professor of Philosophy at the University of Southern Maine. His main research interest has been the relation of Marxist Value Theory with heat engines and Turing Machines. He is the author of many articles and books including Clipped Coins, Abused Words and Civil Government: John Locke's Philosophy of Money (Autonomedia 1989) and In Letters of Blood and Fire: Work, Machines and the Crisis of Capitalism (PM Press/Common Notions 2013). He received his Ph.D. from Princeton University (1978). His dissertation title: “Does Quantum Mechanics Necessitate a Revolution in Logical Theory?”
