History of Christianity

Where the New Testament ends, history of christianity begins. It examines how people interpreted and lived out biblical tradition through their historically effective actions in the context of their time. It deals with people, events, and developments from the beginnings of the church in the footsteps of Jesus to the present day. Starting from a Protestant point of view, the perspective also takes into account Christianity as a whole in order to prepare students for Christian religious education in Lower Saxony (CRU).
